It was morning--long before the show was scheduled to open--and the higher-security freaks were for once being allowed some freedom to roam. ...Well, in the fenced-in area that held all of the animal cars. With guards watching every possible escape. While some of the freaks were given slightly more allowance to move about the carnival, it was only because they had no hope of getting away, due to some physical impediment or what have you. Those that didn't were kept on a tighter leash.

In Adilet's case, he could not realistically run off and hope to survive in the long-term, with his condition. But no one believed that he wouldn't try, anyways.

Savoring the rare chance to have some fresh air and the ability to walk around a bit, he shuffled out of sight from the areas in the fence where the guards stood, giving him the evil eye. The fence itself was too tall to jump, and it's mesh too small to climb with, so it was really only the openings in it that the management worried someone might make a break through.

...Sometimes, when there were no openings, people made their own. He'd heard rumors that the blind girl had escaped in this manner, but he didn't know much about it.

Swaying somewhat with dizziness (he wasn't sure, but he thought his fever was back--it was getting harder and harder to distinguish between what he once considered flaring-up symptoms to his now-everyday pestilence), he ran black-and-bloodied fingers along the interlinked wires, wondering how the blind girl really got away. How she was doing now, in a world without Mistique. Looking out at the barren fields and country roads that this section of the fence faced--freedom separated by merely centimeter-thick wires--he wondered if this was how prisoners in death camps felt. Hopeless.

But before he could really contemplate the notion further, he broke in a fit of whooping coughs, gripping the chain-links with one white-knuckled hand while covering his mouth with the other.

This happened more and more recently, and always ended wi--gagging, gasping, he lurched over and vomited. Only he hadn't eaten yet that day, so his stomach had no food in it. Instead, his life fluid, a deep red, spattered all over the ground, soaking ominously into the dirt. It was a wonder he had any blood left in him. Still coughing, shaking, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, his head began to ache as the dizziness overcame him and ate at the edges of his eyes.

Staggering slightly in an attempt to seek help, he barely took two steps before collapsing to the ground, unmoving.

((OH MY GOD HE'S DEAD--No, just fainted. Also, if you're wondering when I said 'whooping', no, he doesn't have whooping cough. xD It's just the most fitting way I could think to describe it. If you've never heard of it, basically, you cough faster than you can draw in breath, and it makes you vomit. I've had it. It's not fun. :\ And yes, one of the symptoms of plague is throwing up blood. :( /sobhorrified))

Danylo hated when the freaks came out of their cages. Not because he thought they didn't deserve freedom (Quite the opposite actually, he thought it was pretty twisted that they kept human beings locked up..) but because Mistique chose to let them 'loose' when the animals were also out.

He frowned as he walked a horse along the inside of the fence by its reigns. He could have let it run around as it pleased but there was always the constant fear of one carnies getting trampled.

They weren't that physically impaired that they couldn't move-

The man stopped abruptly in front of the body, mouth opening slightly agape. Was he..was he dead? Danylo nudged him with his foot. "Kid?" He carefully flipped him onto his back, taken aback at first by the freak's appearance then relieved to see his chest rising slowly.

He reached to his pocket, fishing out a flask and unscrewing its top. Without a second thought, he poured the cool liquid onto the pale, marked face. Danylo had heard it was how to wake somebody up. Though, alcohol probably wasn't the best choice to use..

"Come on kid! Get up!)

(Idek. :I I'm so sorry for taking forever to reply! ;;; )
